Candle Care
It is recommended to burn our candles for 3-4 hours at a time, ensuring not to exceed 4 hours. Coconut Apricot Wax is highly adhesive with its soft, creamy texture and burns differently than other waxes such as soy or paraffin. It is typical to have wax remain on the sides of the vessel until the candle is about halfway burned. This type of wax will not create a full melt pool until after a few burning sessions (this may take longer for larger diameter single-wick vessels).
If residue is more prominent on one side of the vessel, the wick may be straightened when the candle is extinguished to promote an even burn. Initially, keep the wick trimmed to 1/4”. Once the candle is half burned, trim the wick to 1/8” to prevent excess heat and potential soot.
Maintain your vessel’s beautiful appearance by cleaning away any soot with a soft, dry cloth or napkin once the candle is extinguished. (Keeping wicks appropriately trimmed and burning in a draft-free area should help prevent this from occurring.)
